STERNRED contains a large proportion of natural carotenoids and
vitamin E (tocopherols and tocotrienols). In skin care and cleansing products it has a softening
and moisturizing effect.
The tocotrienols in STERNRED protect the skin against damage by UV light and aging.
In skin care products Sternred acts as a film-former.
It is also a natural colorant.
Thanks to the good balance between unsaturated and saturated
fatty acids in conjunction with a large vitamin E content,
Sternred is naturally resistant to oxidation. Carotenes
and vitamin E are highly effective antioxidants. They
give the products a long shelf-life and reduce the necessity
for adding synthetic preservatives.
